The construction method of Michael Brey Classical Guitars is based on the tradition of Antonio de Torres ( 1817 – 1892 ), the father of modern Classical Guitar making. A symmetrically fan - braced top and a very lightweight construction are the traditional features of my guitars. To enhance the sustain of each instrument as well as reduce the tension in the top and back – plates, I am using a stabilizing strut between the foot of the neck and the bottomblock.

Only the best tonewoods are used in construction and each guitar is sealed with Schellac on the inside. Finally French Polishing with Schellac will bring out the natural beauty of the woods whilst providing good protection and the best acoustic qualities.
